The need for staff of Zamfara State Ministry for Social Welfare and Community Development, to be more committed, has been stressed. The new commissioner of the ministry, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Gummi gave the charge shortly after reporting to office.
The commissioner, who acknowledged cheers from entire staff of the ministry, expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him. He enjoined all staff to obey rules and regulations governing the conduct of the ministry for speedy development, pointing out that one tree could not make a forest.
The commissioner was together with the Permanent Secretary, Director Administration and Director Finance of the ministry who also reported to his office.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Habibu Yelwa briefed them about some of its core mandates. He restated staff readiness to give him all the necessary support and cooperation to achieve the set goals throughout his stay.
The commissioner lastly called on the people of the state to continue to support the state government under the leadership of the state governor, Dr. Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) with a view to actualizing his efforts of making the state a model
