…As Mamman assists citizens with N22m

The Secretary to Katsina State Government (SSG), Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa has called on wealthy individuals in the state to initiate way of minimizing problem of unemployment among youths.
Inuwa spoke at distribution of cash assistance and food items by an APC chieftain, Alhaji Salisu Mamman Continental.
He said government could not address problem of unemployment without complementary effort from wealthy individuals in view of thousands of youths roaming the streets.
Inuwa said wealthy individuals should assist government by establishing companies or training youths in different crafts.
He commended Mamman for setting Continental Computers which employed thousands of youths and boosts business activities in the state.
“Government acknowledges contribution of Salisu Mamman for providing jobs to our youths and assisting the needy,” he stressed.
Inuwa noted that the distribution of cash assistance and food items would minimize suffering of the beneficiaries during the month of Ramadan.
Earlier, Mamman had said the cash assistance and food items distributed to APC stakeholders, traditional rulers, security agents, Islamic scholars and many others were initiated by Continental Computers Foundation.
Mamman announced that the foundation would in the next two months complete a building within Katsina General Hospital which would cost over N7 million.
He said the building would cater for women with different ailments.
He said the foundation has assisted over 1,000 women with cash assistance and would execute project in each 11 wards in Rimi at the cost of N11 million.
During the event, food items worth over N22 million were flagged off by Governor Aminu Masari, represented by the state APC chairman, Alhaji Shitu S. Shitu.
