The wife of Adamawa State governor, Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri has stressed the need for women leaders to expedite action on promoting the right and dignity of women and girl child against the society.
Hajiya Fintiri made the advocacy while speaking to the 227 ward and local government area women at Banquette Hall, Government House Yola, recently where she charged the women to be good ambassadors of their own cause.
According to her, the role of women in sustainable development and peace cannot be achieved if they will not promote the rights of women and girl child against all forms of abuse in the society.
She restated her commitment to women, children and vulnerable groups in the state through her peace project ‘Fresh Air Profile Empowerment Foundation’ with cash donations and also providing skills acquisition training in the Central and Northern zones in the state.
