For the first time, since relocation to the newly built befitting edifice housing the Triumph Publishing Company Limited at Sheikh Nasiru Kabara Housing Estate along Zaria Road, near Kwanar Dawaki, in Kano State, the Managing Director of the company, Malam Lawal Sabo Ibrahim has received members of Kano Political Youth Organisation on courtesy visit on Wednesday with a strong call for more unity among the group and the entire citizens of the state and the nation at large.
Ibrahim, who said the importance of unity and peace as panacea to all societal development could not be overemphasized, reiterated that without the two, no nation, society or a group could prosper and achieve the desired goal.
The Managing Director, who urged for more unity among the citizens, especially the political class, called on the group to remain committed towards actualizing its dream of becoming a formidable force that would help in forging ahead the democratic governance in the state and the nation.
Ibrahim drew the attention of the group on doing everything possible to help political actors in the state in avoiding the mistakes of the past, which he said could tear them apart as it was the case with a previous administration in the state while fielding gubernatorial candidate for the then ruling party.
While registering his loyalty to the group, he assured that he would continue to identify with them in all their activities, pledging that he would remain an active player towards making it to achieve progresses.
He said his doors are open to them, adding that he is ready to welcome them at all time.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the group, a former Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor, Alhaji Salihu Bala Dawakin Kudu, said they were there to brief the Managing Director on the formation and activities of the group as a political vanguard of the administration of the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He told the Managing Director that they are solidly in support of Governor Ganduje, reiterating that they are also ready to join the governor and team up with any gubernatorial candidate he may likely nominate for the position come 2023 general elections.
According to him, as the journey has just started, they will not relent in this direction, vowing not to allow anybody or group to scuttle the effort, adding that they would not listen to anybody in the party, but the governor alone as far as the governorship candidature is concerned come the 2023 polls.
He prayed for the success of the company in all its endeavours.
