From Umar Danladi Ado, Sokoto
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III has warned the 2020/21 Batch C of the NYSC members posted to the state against doing anything capable of making them to repeat their mandatory service.
Sultan Abubakar stated this while receiving the NYSC members who paid him a courtesy visit at his palace, recently.
The Sultan, who is the President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, also charged the newly posted corps members to always feel free and consider the state as their second home.
He assured them of the Sultanate Council’s support and encouragement for the success of their one-year service.
Earlier speaking, the state NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Muhammad Na Kamba, said the 2020/21 Batch C members, numbering about 1,250, posted to the state, were at the palace on courtesy visit.
Na Kamba, who was represented by the Assistant Director, Bawa Abubakar, noted that they visited the monarch to seek his blessings as well as fatherly advice.
