Sokoto State government has condoled the family of late Emir of Lere and former military administrator of Sokoto State Brig. Gen. Abubakar Garba Muhammad who dies on Saturday at the age of 77.
The state government’s delagation were in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State under the leadership of Sokoto State Deputy Governor Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya who represented Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Delivering the condolence on behalf of government and people of Sokoto State, Governor Tambuwal described late Emir Muhammad as a true leader who sacrifices his life in serving humanity while in the military and the traditional leader.
Governor Tambuwal said “ The late administrator has left a mark when he super-head the affair of the then Sokoto State from 1985 to 1986.
He described the late Emir as a courageous and hardworking individual who the history of Sokoto State will not be complete without his handy work, and surely Sokoto will forever remain grateful to him.
He prayed Allh SWT to forgive his short comings and reward him with Jannatul Firdaushi.
Speaking on behalf of the late emir, Madakin Lere Alhaji Sulaiman Umar on behalf of the entire family of the Emir thanked Governor Tambuwal for sending the high powered delation under his Deputy Hon. Manir Dan’iya for the condolences.
