Return your wards to school on time, Parents/guardians urged

Parents and guardians in Kano State have been urged to return their wards to schools on time.


The state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru made the appeal in a statement from the Chief Information Officer of the ministry, Malam Aliyu Yusuf, which he made available to The Triumph in Kano on Sunday.
The commissioner said failure to do so, disciplinary actions await defaulters.

He pointed out that all boarding school students are to return to their schools today, Sunday, May 16 while day school students are to return to their schools tomorrow, Monday, May 17 2021 respectively.

The commissioner explained that the ministry has made adequate arrangement for school monitoring to ensure compliance.

He stressed that government would not fold its arms to see students returning to schools as they wished, hence the need for them to be law-abiding.

The commissioner added that the state government was committing much resources to facilitate good learning and teaching environment, stressing the need for a reciprocating gesture from the parents by ensuring that their wards are going to schools as stipulated.
