The Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has directed the Muslims Ummah in the country to start looking for the new crescent of Ramadan today March 22, 2023 equivalent to Islamic calendar, Sha aban 29, 1444AH.
In a statement signed by the Chairman Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs, Sultanate Council Sokoto State, Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu says if the crescent is sighted the information should be forwarded to the nearest village or district head for onward communication to the Sultan of Sokoto.
