PHCMB destroy N90m expired products

The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board (PHCMB) has destroyed expired products worth N98 million that where apprehended at various market in the state.

In his remark while leading the destruction of the products, the Executive Secretary of the board represented by the Director Environmental And Public Health, Alhaji Usman Rabiu Sadiq explained that, the exercise was aimed at protecting public against using hazardous products that may hamper their lives especially with the coming of the Ramadan season.

The director further stated, the exercise was conducted after receiving a court order directing for the destruction of the expired products.

He called on the people in the state to be extra vigilant on rampant use of expired products especially with the approach of the Ramadan.

Among the products destroyed according to the Director include, drugs, baking powder, minerals and other exotics drinks, according to a press statement issued and signed by Maikudi Muhammad Marafa,
