The Director General of Consensus for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Support Groups, Alhaji Bello Bature Isah Kebbi, has said that his organization, as a support group, is working to ensure the success of the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar come next year’s general elections.
He disclosed this while speaking with journalists at Malam Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Research, Mambayya House recently.
Alhaji Kebbe explained that in every organisation there is division of labour in terms of administrative caliber or administrative assignment.
He said their support groups were not looking for a manpower or finance in order for them to carry out some political assistance or empowerment, saying that they are only a body to sponsor their journey and programmes in the name of their dear party, PDP and also the support groups.
He added that they were making efforts to see how their presidential candidate, Wazirin Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar could get his mission and vision realized towards becoming the president of the nation in the next coming general election in 2023.
The Director General of PDP Consensus Support Groups added that all the support they were doing, was without any intervention of any political office holder or leader.
He called on the attention of members of the support groups to continue in this direction with a view to ensuring that victory comes to them for the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to become the nation’s president God willing.
Alhaji Kebbi said they were in Kano to see how they could support their party, adding that they were also there to see how they could promote, encourage and ginger the people in the state so that they could go on door-to-door campaign and other activities to galvanise support for the party and its candidates.
He prayed: “By the grace of Almighty, PDP is going to win the next coming general election.”
Alhaji Kebbi said PDP consensus is a collaboration of so many support groups, with the different good ideas.
He added that they were also there to gather them to forum, give them advice and provide them with such support in order for groups to carry out their mission successfully.
He expressed delight that the party in the state was doing well in the state.
He said the support groups that participated in their programmes were above 60, saying that they have empowered a lot of people, both men and women, adding that soon, many more wouldl be empowered.
