THE National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Sokoto State Command (NDLEA) had said that it will soon rid the state of illicit drugs dealers and abusers.
To this end, the command in collaboration with the state ministry of health will inaugurate Sokoto State Drugs Control Committee that is saddled with the responsibilities to reduce the users and trafficking of drugs in the society to the barest number.
The NDLEA commandant in the state, Abdul Abdullahi said that the agency has studied and identify all targetted drugs barons and hiding places and will swing into action with a view to raid them soon.
In addition, the commandant said that the agency has scheduled to convene a meeting with the proprietors and operators of all the hotels, brothels and guest houses operating within the metropolis.
Abdullahi assured to maintain working synergy between the command and other sister agencies especially with regard to join operations in the plash point where the drugs addict gather, selling places and consumption within the metropolis.
