The Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NIRS), Yakubu Mai- Sule has said that the board has generated N8.8 billion revenue for the state government within January to June 2021.
He stated this when he led other members of the board for budget assessment before the state House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation led by its Chairman, Hon Aliyu Dogara.
” We at the board our target is to generate N18.6 billlion for the year 2021, this inline with our mandate,” lamenting shortage of manpower as cardinal concerned in the board.
While appreciating, board leadership, chairman of the committee, Hon. Dogara said they have done a marvelous job and advised them to do more to ensure that the state has achieve the target.
” I want to assured you that as legislators we will give you all the necessary support to overcome your numerous challenges at all times considering the significant of the board to the state,” the lawmaker assured.
