Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Plateau State Chapter has appealed to state government to please design a certain hospital that would address cases particularly rape considering its seriousness.
The Chairperson, Mrs Jennifer Yerima made the appealed on Tuesday during a three days sensitization awareness of the dangers of rape at Rikos in Jos North Local Government Area.
According her, the hospital charges for rape cases should be free, adding that this would help the community to bring women and children that that were violated for medication.
Mrs Yerima urged parents to report any case of child violation, noting women and widows cases should be reported to the Police or NAWOJ in the state.
She assured that they would support the women and children to get justice at the end of the day.
Also speaking Divisional Police Officer, Musa Hassan of Nasarawa Gwong lamented that rape is in the increase in the communities, most especially in the domain.
He advised the people within the community not to keep quite whenever the case is being reported, calling on them to always report the case or the matter to the nearest police station.
