Jigawa State Deputy Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi has emerged gubernatorial flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress party APC in the state.
He was elected APC candidate during the party’s gubernatorial primary election held at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse.
Mallam Namadi scored 1,220 votes while the serving senator Sabo Nakudu for jigawa South West scored 106 votes.
Another contestant from Jigawa North-east Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia scored 58 votes.
Also, Farouk Adamu Aliyu who is a former lawmaker scored 13 votes, Aminu kani scored 16 votes while the Jigawa state Attorney general and commissioner for justice Sani Hussaini Garin Gabas scored 5 votes.
The head of the election committee, Alhaji Kaburu Ibrahim congratulated Mallam Umar Namadi and party delegates on a successful primary election.
The Triumph reports, that, the winner defeated eight other gubernatorial aspirants.
