The Talban Gumel in Jigawa State, Dr. Aminu Babandi Muhammad has commended the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Sabo Nanono for the provision of social amenities in the state.
The Talban Gumel stated this while receiving the Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Alhaji Mustapha Baba Shehuri in Gumel recently.
Dr. Muhammad said the state has benefited a lot on the rural and agricultural programmes of the Federal Government under the leadership of President tMuhammadu Buhari.
The Talban Gumel also commended farmers in the state for their efforts in providing food stuff for the country, saying that majority of the rice consumed in the country came from Jigawa and Kano States.
He urged the agriculture ministry to assist farmers with fertilizer and modern farming instruments.
Speaking, the Minister assured the farmers of the Buhari administration resolve to continue to support them with necessary facilities to boost farming activities in the county.
