Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the national leadership of the party under Senator Abdullahi Adamu for resolving the crisis that rocked the party causing division among members.
This followed the signing of agreement between governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle and former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar to ensure that all members remain together.
With the signing therefore the APC has once again been reunited under one roof.
The signing agreement was held at the APC national headquarters, Abuja under the supervision of the national chairman. The two leaders promised and agreed to work closely together for the benefit of the state and the people of Zamfara.
Speaking shortly after the agreement was reached, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, thanked all the stakeholders that participated in the peace accord.
He assured that his leadership has been making effort in bringing all splinter members into the main fold of the party so that the state would continue to enjoy peaceful political, social and a prosperous economic environment. Hon. Danfulani, who described the move as progressive, urged all party loyalists, supporters and stakeholders to see and treat all members as equal without any difference.
He urged people of the state to continue to pray for the wellbeing of the state. The event was also witnessed by the APC National Secretary, Mr. Iyiola Omisore; governor of Kebbi State who doubles as APC Governors Forum Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu; Zamfara State APC Chairman, Hon Tukur Umar Danfulani; Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya and Chief of Staff to the Speaker, National Assembly, Hon. Sanusi Garba Rikiji among others.
