MATAN seeks partnership with Dantata

Executives of the Kano State Chapter, of Market Traders Association of Nigeria, (MATAN), led by the Chairman, Comrade Abba Aminu Imam have paid an advocacy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Dantata Foods and Allied Products, Alhaji Tajuddeen Aminu Dantata, at his office, located along Club road, Kano.


The chairman, assisted by other members, issued a certificate to Alhaji Tajuddeen for his appointment as a patron of MATAN and decorated him accordingly.
A statement issued by Mustapha Isah Kwaru, the MATAN media aide said parts of the objectives of the visit were to intimate Dantata on the existence and activities of MATAN, Kano State Chapter.
The visit was also meant to seeks his support, they explained to him the general missions and visions of the association that can be implemented in the best interest of Kano traders for the enhancement of business activities.

The chairman explained that the executives have unanimously approved such appointment in recognition of his patriotism and contributions towards the improvement of business activities both in Kano, Nigeria and the world at large.

The chairman further told Dantata that MATAN has unveiled an effective blueprint for improvement of the general welfare of Kano traders as well as overhaul of business activities.

He equally informed him that as a strategy to ensure successful and hitch-free implementation of the blueprint, it was designed and categorised on short, medium and long term procedures.

The chairman, equally, declared that the based on the content of the roadmap, MATAN has identified the primary predicaments confronting Kano traders, markets and general business activities and outlined possible solutions.

The chairman informed Dantata on the impending non-interest loan that Kano traders will benefit from the Sterling Bank, saying plans have reached an advanced stage for the disbursement of the loans to the eligible registered members.

He therefore, called on him to use his wealth of experience, knowledge and business development strategies to offer advice to MATAN on how to move trading forward for the general benefits of Kano traders.

In his response, Alhaji Damtata, expressed delight over the visit and found him worthy for the appointment as patron.

He tasked the executives to embark on vigorous registrations drive to woo more members into the association, saying high number of members is a vital device for the successful implementation of the set goals.

The patron also, promised to use his connections, both within Nigeria and globally to ensure rapid growth of the association.
