Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC) has identified a warehouse and confiscated about one 1,500 cartons of expired hand sanitiser at Brigade quarters in Nassararwa Local Government Area.
Also during the raid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Gentian Violet and many Jerry cans of chemical were also found in the warehouse.
This was disclosed by the Acting Managing Director of KSCPC, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi immediately after the operation.
He revealed that a good samaritan informed the council about the warehouse.
Dan’agundi who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA, Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa also said all the products were found to be expired and have no register with NAFDAC.
He called on people of the state to be very cautious in using such kind of products, especially the hand sanitiser at this period of COVID-19, according to a statament issued by Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, the Information Officer of the agency and made available to The Triumph, today.
