Acting Managing Director, Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC), Baffa Babba Dan’agundi has advised citizens especially womenfolks to be very cautious when buying food stuff and drinks in the market.
Danagundi represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA, Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa made the assertion while inspecting a truck loaded with expired packaged tomatoes which was intercepted Tuesday night in the metropolis.
He said the tomatoes which is over three hundred cartons worth N5 million are all expired.
He added that it is good for people to be checking the expiry date and NAFDAC registration number on every product they are going to buy for their own health care.
He thanked the good people of Kano for the support they are according to the council especially those that are supplying secret information to the council, adding that this lead to a tremendous success, as contained in a statement issued by Musbahu Aminu Yakasai, the Information Officer of KSCPC and made known to The Triumph, yesterday.
