Kano State House of Assembly has called on the state governor, Engr.Abba Kabir Yusuf to direct Ministry of Works and Infrastructures to investigate the present situation of Kofar Ruwa Underpass.
The member representing Ungogo Constituency, Hon.Aminu Sa’ad Ungogo, presented a matter of urgency before the House, appealing the House to call on government to checkmate the situation of the Underpass.
He said the road project had become a danger zone of causing accidents and sinking, which would collapse as a result of lack of proper water ways within the Underpass, especially in the present rainy season.
In his contributions, the member representing Nassarawa, Hon. Engr. Yusuf Aliyu Adamu, said the past administration had changed the construction’s master plan of the Underpass project from the first initiator, the former governor, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The Speaker of the House, Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, therefore directed the House Committee on Works to investigate and report before the House.
Meanwhile, Hon. Sulaiman Muktar Ishaq of Madobi has appealed to the House to call on government to construct a road from Madobi – Rikadawa in Madobi Local Government Area.
