KNSG promotes 152 workers

Kano State Government has ap­proved the promotion of 152 staff in the mainstream of its civil ser­vice for the month of February this year.

A statement from the spokesperson of the commission, Malam Ismail Garba Gwammaja, its Director Public Enlight­enment, which he made available to The Triumph in Kano contained this informa­tion.

The chairman of the state Civil Service Commission, Engr. Bello Muhammad Kiru, announced this at the routine com­mission exercise meeting for senior staff promotion exercise held at the conference hall of the commission.

The chairman further explained that 66 number of those promoted are between Grade Level 08 – 09; 35 are from Grade Level 10 to above, while one person from Grade Level 15 to 16 who is aspiring for a directorship respectively.

Engr. Kiru maintained that promotion is a privilege, charging those opportune to be promoted to be more alive and inno­vative to their duties, since there is more expectation on them.

He then commended the present ad­ministration of Governor Ganduje for people-oriented projects.

Earlier in his remark, the Permanent Secretary of the commission, Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Kofar Mata, represented by the Director Administration, Malam Salahud­deen Habib Isa, spoke on the performance of the commission members, enjoining them to observe ethics of the civil service rules for effective and efficient service de­livery.
