KNSG poised to arrest water scarcity –Garo

Kano State Government has expressed concern towards curtailing scarcity of drinking water in the 44 local government areas in the state.

The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo stated this while briefing journalists in his office, explaining that a total of 1, 500 hand pumps were repaired within the 44 areas.

Garo assured of the state government’s readiness to solve all problems of water scarcity not only in the metropolis, but in the entire state.

Responding, on behalf of the people of Wudil town, Comrade Basiru Kawu thanked the state government and the commissioner for their efforts in solving the problems.

Meanwhile, the commissioner has repaired solar energy at Masanawa and Durun towns both in Kabo Local Government Area aimed at boosting water supply, according to a statement issued by Farouk Ghali Masanawa, the Public Relation Officer of the ministry and made available to The Triumph, recently.
