KNSG donates food items to deceased couple’s family

Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has condoled with the family and entire people of Rimin Gado over the death of the Ward Head of Majinfari and his wife in a ghastly motor accident last week.

The governor was speaking through the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Comrade (Dr.) Saleh Aliyu Jili during a condolence visit to the family at Majinfari in Jili Ward of the area.

He described the death of the deceased to a great shock in view of the nature of the accident involving the couple and their surviving child.

Comrade Jili further said the late Bala Mai Unguwa died as a result of head on collusion with Tipper Truck while riding a motorcycle with his family and only his child survived.

He the said the governor directed the agency to pay a condolence visit to the family and the people of the area as well as donate bags of rice, maize, millet and a carton of noodle for relieving the loss.

Dr. Jili seized the opportunity to call on rural communities, particularly farmers to provide water ways in their farm and resistance respectively to prevent flood in this year’s rainy season, explaining that the weather focus has observed that this year would experience a heavy downpour and a strong windstorm.

Speaking, the chairman of the area, Barr. Munnir Dahiru Mai Gari, thanked the state governor for his concern to the family of the deceased, adding that the accident had strongly shocked the entire people of the area, assuring that the council would look after the surviving child.

He therefore commended the Executive Secretary of the agency for delivering the governor’s message and condoling with the family over the loss.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the representative of the village head of Jili, Malam Samaila said the accident had strongly shocked the entire community.

He noted that the victims were coming back from a family visit on a motorcycle, adding that they had a head on collusion with a truck at Kankare in Janguza that resulted to their death, while only the baby they were carrying survived.

He thanked the state governor for donating the food items, commending SEMA management under Comrade Jili for their concern to the family.
