Kano state ministry of Education has approved 5 days break for all public and private primary and secondary schools operating in the state.
As contained in a circular released by the ministry, the break will take effect from Tuesday to Monday May 17, 2021.
According to the circular, head teachers and principals are to ensure that all boarding school students are to return to their schools on Sunday May 16 while Students of day schools are to return to their schools on Monday 17 respectively.
It also warned that all the affected students must return to their schools at the stipulated dates, as appropriate disciplinary action await defaulters.
The circular however, spelt out that students on exchange program from other states at GGSS Gwarzo and GGSS Shekara are to remain in their respective schools during the 5 days break period, as revealed by Aliyu Yusuf, the spokesman of the ministry in a press reease issued to The Triumph, yesterday.
