Kebbi State Government has settled retirees and dead benefits of workers from the state, local governments and Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), who left the service in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
This was disclosed by the state Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba Bena while featuring in a programme produced by Kebbi Television Service recently.
Alhaji Bena, said the state government, under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu already paid the gratuity of all categories of retired and dead civil servants of 2017, 2018 and 2019, whose their money amounted to over N6 billion, adding that the disbursement for 2020 is on the process. He said the second committee which he is heading was earlier set up by the state governor to ease the works of the first committee chaired by Alhaji Muhammadu Kwaido.
While extolling the governor for the gesture, Alhaji Bena also commended Kwaido-led committee for a job well-done. On his part, Bena, urged beneficiaries to utilize their benefits optimally
