The effort of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State in ensuring effective security has made the state to be a pacesetter in the management of security problems in the country.
The observation was made by Dallatun Rano, Alhaji Iliyasu Mahadi while chatting with journalists in the state.
He said the state has also been in the forefront of bringing dividends of democracy to the entire people of the state in terms of development projects execution in the nook and cranny of the state by the Ganduje administration.
According to him, one thing worthy of note is the ability of the Ganduje administration to ensure peaceful coexistence among the ethnic groups in the state.
He linked these successes to the ability of the administration to carry out effective measures towards dealing with insecurity in the state squarely thereby bringing a lasting peace.
He called on other governors in the nation to emulate Governor Ganduje in his development initiative towards enhancing the living condition of the people in their respective states.
He noted that Governor Ganduje, through his development initiatives, has increased the number of Emirates in the state to five thus bringing more development to the door steps of the people at the grassroots in the state.
Alhaji Mahadi noted that even the Emirates themselves were given the go ahead to appoint indigenes of their domains into various chieftaincy titles; a situation he said would ensure better security in the nook and cranny of the state.
He commended the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Inuwa for ensuring unity among his subjects, especially as he gave chieftaincy titles to deserving people in the area who would assist him in developing the Emirate.
On their part, the Sarkin Fawa of Kano, Alhaji Isyaku Alin Muli and the Sarkin Aska of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Nabango expressed delight with the chietainct title bestowed on Alhaji Iliyasu as Dallatun Rano, a honour they described as well deserved.
