Kano remains Nigeria’s investment destination –Gwarzo

Kano State deputy governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has said that the state continues to upkeep its reputation as the best and safest destination for investors in the country.

Comrade Gwarzo, who doubles as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, described the state as the driven bridge, especially Gwarzo Local Government Area, in terms of food production and productive enterprises among its counterpart’s suburb 36 local governments in the state.

He made the remark during the groundbreaking ceremony of the ‘Abz Guest Inn Hotel’ in his birthplace, Gwarzo, in the Gwarzo Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, unveiling such commercial properties is obligated to Muslims, contending that it was irrational for some Muslims to forestall themselves from investing upon under the guise that sinful acts were taking place in such profitable buildings.

He said: “Some of us went to SaudiArabia for Hajj or Umrah and we all knew that the Kingdom hosts visitors in such hotels as measure to accelerate its meagre savings. “Not only in Saudi-Arabia but also where ever you go in the world, including developing and underdeveloped countries they host their visitors in hotels.”

He stressed the importance and positive impact of the hotel in the town, noting that it would entice more businessmen and travelers crossing through the town as well as increase the revenue of the area.

The deputy governor also took a moment to commend the philanthropic legacy of the late Alhaji Babangida Zuru and his family, who have served the area for over five decades.

On his part, Alhaji Mansur Babangida Zuru, expressed gratitude to the deputy governor for gracing the ceremony, explaining that the hotel’s primary objective is to provide welfare services to the local community and travelers passing through Gwarzo town.

Also speaking, the District Head of Gwarzo, Alhaji Shehu Kabiru, also extended his appreciation for the warm gesture.

He assured the community of the judicious implementation of strict rules that align with the cultural and religious values of Islam.
