Kano partners Pan Atlantic University on entrepreneurship

Kano State Government has expressed readiness to partner with the Pan Atlantic University’s Enterprise Development Centre’s in entrepreneurship development among Kano youth.

This was disclosed when the governor received, in a courtesy visit, Director of the Centre, who was ably represented by a Deputy Director, Mrs. Nnena Okekearu, at his office, today, to brief him about their recent programme of Transforming Nigerian Youth Programme for Youth and Women.

After displaying some of the products the centre trained Kano youth on as shoes, perfume, Ganduje appreciated the training program run by the Centre.

“We have Kano State Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre, where we will be training our youth in many trade. There are over 20 trades that our youth will have skills in them. I am glad to invite Pan Atlantic University’s Centre to come and partner with the state government on entrepreneurship development.

“We have state of the art equipments in our Skills Acquisition Centre. All the equipments are installed. The Centre will soon be commissioned for proper take-off,” he said.

He added that, youth need vision “If you look at it and analyse the issue very well, you will come to understand that, the issue is that of disconnect. And what brought you here is the connectivity that you want establish together with us. This is commendable.

“While we are willing to partner with you, we are also encouraged with what you have just shown us done by our youth. You are really doing a good thing,” he appreciated.

In her remarks the deputy director commended the governor for his passion in developing youth in the state, saying that, “Your Excellency we are grateful with your commitment and passion in youth development.”

“Our capacity building programme Your Excellency targets 40,000 youth in Kano, Kaduna and Lagos states. In five years Sir. We are happy that you are encouraging entrepreneurship in Kano,” she disclosed.
