Kano Educ Ministry extend schools resumption date

Kano State Ministry of Education has extended the resumption dates for all Public/ Private Primary and Secondary Schools in the state.

Making the disclosure, the Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru said that the one week extension was aimed at normalizing the state academic calendar after series of disruptions resulted from the effect of covid-19 pandemic.

Therefore, all students of boarding schools are to resume on Sunday September 12, 2021 as against September 5, while the day schools students are to resume on Monday September 13, 2021 as against September 6, as earlier announced.

A statement issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Alhaji Aliyu Yusuf said the commissioner, expressed appreciation to parents and guardians for the support they are given to the ministry, hoping that the tempo will be sustained.

He then urged them to ensure that their wards have resumed schools at the stipulated dates.
