The Secretary to Kano State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji has charged the state civil servants to work hard toward attaining the pinnacle of their career for societal and personal glory.
He made the assertion at his office while bidding farewell to the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Council Affairs Directorate, Government House, Kano, Hajiya Binta Fatima Salihu, who recently retired from the service.
Alhaji Alhaji stated that the dream of any civil servant is to retire as a Permanent Secretary which could be attained only through selfless service, patience and hard work.
He added that the apex position in the civil service is only attainable by a very few and should be considered a devine gift and honour to facilitate one’s quest to serve humanity.
He, therefore, charged the retired Permanent Secretary to use her wealth of experience for the development of the state civil service and the state in general.
Alhaji Alhaji then extolled her for having dealt and interacted with different classes and calibre of people over a considerable length of time.
Also commenting, the Permanent Secretary, REPA, Hajiya Bilkisu Shehu Maimota said that the retired Permanent Secretary would always be remembered for her simplicity, friendliness and above all her fear of Allah in her dealings, wishing her well in her future endeavors.
Responding, Hajiya Binta thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to reach to the position, the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the confidence reposed in her to serve, the First Lady for her motherly care and Alhaji Alhaji for his mentorship.
