Kano Assembly condoles with ex-Speaker’s family

The Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly, Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has condoled with the family of late former Speaker, Abdullahi Abubakar Karaye over his demise.

While leading the entire House members to the deceased family residence at Karaye town, the Speaker described the death as a great loss to the state and entire Muslim community.

During the visit, members prayed for Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest and to comfort the family.

Similarly, the Speaker led members to condole with the Emir of Karaye, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II at his palace over the death of the former Speaker and that of Makaman Karaye, the District Head of Madobi, Alhaji Musa Sale Kwankwaso.

In a related development, the Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria (IPMAN), Kano State branch has appealed to the state government to reduce ground rent charges for the development of their business and the state at large.

The chairman of the association, Alhaji Bashir Ahmad Danmalam stated this while paying a congratulatory visit to the Speaker at the House.

He said the union has made all necessary arrangement to ensure regular payment of consolidated revenue by its members as it was directed by the government with collaborative efforts of the House. 

In another development, the Trusted Northern Youth Awareness of Nigeria has awarded Hon. Chidari with an Excellent Service Delivery award.

Similarly, Kano North Social Media led by Abdullahi Maitsidau and his counterpart of Chidari Awareness Female Forum, Fatima Sadiq have congratulated the Speaker and assured for more support on enlightening youth and women on their right to vote.

Other unions that paid such visit, were Kano State Social Media Danbatta Branch,  Sansan Chidari Mobilization Awareness, Chidari 2023 Mobilization Forum, Danbatta Helpers Association and Mothers Association Danbatta among others.
