Chairman, Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman has said his administration will partner any organization and individual whose activity is geared towards assisting vulnerable members of the society.
He made this position known when he received a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Smart Family led by its coordinator, Aminu Abdullahi Mustapha at his residence in Jos, recently.
Smart Family is an NGO aimed at assisting the education of the poor as well as providing the health needs and welfare of the vulnerable members of the society and also equip them with skills.
Hon. Usman said he was elated seeing young Nigerians coming together as one entity to assist the less- privileged with skills to become useful citizens.
The chairman noted that the activity of NGO is also in line with the economy rebirth philosophy of Governor Simon Lalong.
He informed the organization that his administration will placed premium on youth and women empowerment and will also create a conducive atmosphere to move their education forward to an appreciable standard.
He assured them of the council’s partnership and called on them to sensitized the people on peaceful coexistence.
Earlier, Coordinator Mustapha had told the chairman that they where at his house to identify with him and to sought for area of collaboration to equip young Nigerians with skills and assist the poor in their educational pursuits and health needs.
