The Campaign Directorate of Jigawa gubernatorial candidate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state has blamed and condemned in totality against what it calls the barbaric act of illegality of pulling down of its flags and billboards allegedly perpetrated by the supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Hadejia city.

A statement issued and signed by Comrade Umar Kyari Jitau Madamuwa, Deputy Director, Media and Publicity of Santuraki Campaign Directorate, said the negative political behavior in this era of developing the nation could be equated to dark age of politics of the 16 century, which was been conquered long long by patriotic Nigerians.

“We want remind APC and its leadership in the state that the recent peace accord signed by political parties and their presidential candidates in Abuja, which they also attended, were laws binding on all parties and their members,” he said.

The statement said APC in the state, from the realities on the ground, has lost hopes and the reason why it was finding it difficult to commence writing its handing over note.

The statement added that successes from the outing of their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and their gubernatorial candidate, Alahaji Mustapha Sule Lamido, Santurakin Dutse, during their recent visit to Hadejia city, had confirmed the PDP’s preparedness to take over the state next year.

“We are appealing to our teeming supporters to remain calm and law-abiding as well as all necessary measures are being taken to avoid the repeat of the negative act.

“We are also calling on the very negligible few decent peace and good manners to their members to ensure successful, peaceful handing and taking over ceremony in the state,” the statement quipped.
