JGSG determines to complete all projects by 2023 -Kila

Jigawa State Government has expressed determination in ensuring that all key socio-economic development projects and programmes are fully funded and completed by beginning of 2023 fiscal year without bequeathing unnecessary huge contractual commitments and liabilities.

The Special Adviser Media and Public Relations to the Governor, Alhaji Habibu Nuhu Kila has revealed in a statement in Dutse, the state capital.

Briefing newsmen after the executive council meeting, the state Commissioner of Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Bala Ibirahim, said the council has noted with satisfaction that, preliminary assessment of implementation of 2021 budget as at the end of the month of June had indicated a very satisfactory performance with optimistic scenario of greater performance.

The council has also noted and considered that based on a review of revenue flows during the first half of the year and other fiscal information, it has been projected that more income would accrue into the state consolidated revenue fund than earlier projected.

The State Executive Council therefore considered and approved a proposal of supplementary budget for onward submission to the state House of Assembly for further legislative action. Also approved by the council is the award of contract for the reconstruction of the damaged section of Darai-Gilima Road at the cost of N291, 031,703.76
