From Muawuya Bala Idris, Katsina
Immediate past Chief Executive of Small Medium Development and Enterprises of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Dr. Dikko Umar Radda has emerged APC Gobernorship Flag bearer in Katsina State.
Dikko scored 506 votes, defeating his close opponent, Dr. Mustapha Muhmamad Inuwa, who scored 442 votes, and the other seven contestants.
The primary election was conducted under the supervision of party officials from National Headquarters and other party stakeholders.
Meanwhile, Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke has emerged as the PDP flag bearer in Katsina State with a large merging of 744 votes, while his close contestant, Salisu Majigiri, scored 253 votes.
Other contestants, Shehu Inuwa Imam scored 44 votes while Ahmed Aminu Yaradua scored 53 votes.
In his acceptance speech, Danmarke commended delegates for conducting themselves peacefully and ensured the successful conduct of the election.
He called on all party members to rally around him to ensure the party wins all elections in 2023.
