People of Ungogo and Dawakin Tofa Local Government Areas of Kano State have been urged to continue to protect government projects against vandalisation.
The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo disclosed this while inspecting completed and ongoing projects in the areas.
Garo, who was represented by the Director Planning Research and Statistics, Alhaji Ismaila Musa, said they were there to assess the level of progress of the projects.
The commissioner pledged that the state government would complete all the projects across the 44 local governments in the state. The completed projects inspected include the renovation of chairman and secretariat offices and construction of health clinic at Rummawa town both in Ungogo Local Government Area.
While in Dawkin Tofa, Garo inspected the renovation of District Head wife’s wing and general renovation of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Council’s Secretariat. In their separate remarks, the two chairmen, Engr. Garba Abdullahi Ramat and Alhaji Ado Tambai Kwa, thanked the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the commissioner for their approval to execute the projects in the areas, as disclosed in a statement issued by Farouk Ghali Masanawa, the Public Relations Officer of the ministry
