Governor Of Kano State, Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has condoled Federal Commissioner, National Commission For Refugees,Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Senator Bashir Garba Lado over the death of his mother Late Hajiya Fatima (Fanta) Garba who is also a sister to a former head of state Late General Sani Abacha at the family’s residence in Nassarawa G.R.A, today.
Late Fanta Garba died yesterday after a protracted illness.
The governor represented by his Deputy Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna at burial of the deceased, later condoled the family saying.”The Government and people of Kano State are saddened by this loss”.
“We are shocked,Hajiya Fanta would be remembered for her contribution to the development of womenfolk.”
“She is a pillar who maintained close ties between the Late Alhaji Abacha’s family,their relatives and neighbours. She would surely be missed not only by her family but the entire people of Kano State Ganduje said”.
The governor prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive and grant her Jannatul Firdaus and also gives her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
During the visit, the governor was accompanied by the State Government Officials.
