Towards reaching the climax of 2023 general election, Amalgamation of Fulani groups, along with Islamic scholars, under the aegis of Hoorejo Tabital Pulaaku and Fulbe Ulama Nigeria, across all the states of the federation and Abuja, have endorsed the candidature of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flag-bearer, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Alhaji Kassim Shettima.
They promised to support them win the forthcoming election.
At a consultative meeting with the groups that took place at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, on Sunday, the former governor of Bauchi State, Malam Isa Yuguda, the National President of Hoojero Tabital Pulaaku and Malam Haruna Bin Musa, Chairman Initiative for Educating Nigerian Fulbe Pilgrims, submitted the endorsement letter to the Governor Ganduje, for onward transmission to Tinubu.
Governor Ganduje appreciated the amalgamation for their critical understanding of the national politics and their plan for national development.
He said: “…moulded your support for our competent presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Nigeria.
“This endorsement is the only answer for our development as Fulani and for the development of our dear nation.”
“We assure you that transformation in our livestock system will become a reality when our candidate Bola Tinubu becomes the president,” he assured.
He added that, business would not be as usual when Tinubu gets the mandate in the forthcoming election.
“All parts of the country would be developed,” he assured.
While promising that, he would deliver the endorsement letter to Tinubu, the governor revealed that: “We recently organised National Livestock Conference, of which we raised a blueprint.
“I am assuring you that when Tinubu becomes our president, he would organise Conference of All Fulani in Nigeria.”
The governor further disclosed that, Fulani would not regret electing Tinubu as president, as he (the governor) is aware of Tinubu’s plan in transforming their lives across the country.
Yuguda commended the governor for his unflinching support to the plight of Fulani across the country.
“Among all our governors, both serving and former, Governor Ganduje are the one who is more supportive and in the forefront of Fulani people,” he noted.
Many Fulani groups staring from Ardos, community leaders and Fulani scholars, who came under the amalgamation for the consultative meeting, came from across the 36 states of the federation, including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
