The Permanent Secretary of Kano State Ministry of Education, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso has appealed to people in the society to emulate the good virtues of Ganduje Foundation by supporting Qur’anic education at all levels.
The Permanent Secretary made the appeal during the Grand Finale of the Inter-Local Government Qur’anic Recitation competition, organized by Ganduje Foundation at Fagge Islamic Center, recently.
Hajiya Lauratu described the activities of the foundation as rewarding in the sight of Allah, urging all and sundry to emulate the good gesture.
She then thanked Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for initiating and sustaining the foundation for about 27 years in serving the humanity.
The Permanent Secretary, who congratulated the participants at the competition, called on parents to always stand firm by ensuring that their children are going to school on time, saying that education is a valuable block for building any society.
It could be recalled that the Permanent Secretary was at the closing ceremony of a yearly Qur’anic recitation competition organized by Radio Kano and ARTV.
During the occasion, she assured the determination of the ministry in supporting Qur’anic education in the state.
She also announced a donation of four tablets (computers) by the ministry to the winners of the competition and her personal donation of copies of Qur’an, according to a statement from the ministry’s spokesman, Malam Aliyu Yusuf and made known to The Triumph, recently.
