Bauchi State governor, Alhaji Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has approved with immediate effect the appointment of former Commissioner of Budget and Planning, Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa as the new Chief of Staff, Government House, Bauchi.
The former commissioner who hailed from Gamawa Local Government Area of the state, holds a Master’s and Doctorate Degree in Law from Harvard Law School at Harvard University, USA.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mukhtar Gidado, said the former commissioner worked across a wide range of organizations, government agencies, educational institutions and non-profitable entities.
He was appointed Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in the state in 2019.
He was also the state Focal Person for World Bank Projects, chairman of the state Covid-19 Economic Recovery Committee 2020.
Gamawa was also vice chairman of Bauchi State World Bank State Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) and Regional Representative of Technical Working Group on Sub-national Ease of Doing Business, among other responsibilities.
While at Harvard, he was the Coordinator of Harvard Law School Graduate Forum (2011-2014) and a teaching fellow.
He presented many academic and professional papers at local and international conferences.
Dr. Gamawa was in the year 2020 awarded with the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM).
