Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has commiserated with the Emirs of Kano and that of Bichi, Aminu Ado Bayero and Nasiru Ado Bayero, over the death of the mother of the State Chief Judge, Justice Nura Sagir Umar, Hajiya Umma Bayero, who passed away yesterday.
He also commiserated with Justice Umar, the Chief Judge, describing mother’s death as “irreplaceable and extremely shocking.”
While acknowledging the good upbringing she exhibited of her family members, which included blood children and other non-related people, that she helped in moulding their characters.
The governor urged “…all those related and non-related individuals to always copy from this extraordinary gentle mother.
“She was a centre of gravity, when it came to discipline, humility, commitment to humanity, love for people, focus in life and above all righteousness towards the Almighty Allah.
“She did well as a mother, as a sibling, as wife to her highly respected husband, as a community leader and as an accomplished woman of substance,” he hailed.
The governor added that “It is therefore on behalf of the government and people of Kano state, that, I am extending this condolence to our respected Royal Fathers, Emirs of Kano and Bichi, Aminu Ado Bayero and Nasiru Ado Bayero, over the death of their Aunty.
“And also to the State Chief Judge, Justice Nura Sagir Umar over this irreplaceable passing away of his extraordinary mother, whose blessing and good upbringing become the flagship of his entire life,” Ganduje revealed.
He prayed Allah to give the family and entire the state people, the fortitude to bear the great loss of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the state Deputy Governor Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has led the State Government delegation to the funeral of Late Hajiya Umma Bayero which took place at the Emir’s Palace,Kano.
Late Hajiya Umma Bayero,Age 88 died on Friday after an illness.
The delegation comprises commissioners and other senior government officials.
