Danmarke promises to end insecurity in 100 days

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Katsina State, Sen. Yakubu Lado Danmarke, has pledged to end the problem of insecurity facing the state within 100 days of his tenure.

Lado, who spoke at the inauguration of Presidential/Gubernatorial Campaign Council, said if elected into office, he would work with security agents, traditional rulers and critical stakeholders to end the problem.

He said his administration would empower vigilante groups and provide all necessary support to security agents to deal with terrorist activities. Lado further said agriculture would also be given priority attention to generate income and boost food production.

“We will abolish mock examination and ensure regular payment of examination fees to all external examination bodies,” he said.

The PDP governorship candidate assured people of the state that he would not fail them if given the mandate. Earlier, the chairman of PDP in the state, Alhaji Magaji Lawal Danbaci, said the party would work for victory during 2023 election.

Danbaci said the party considers merit and wealth of experience for appointment of members of the campaign council. He charged members of the campaign council to work with all candidates and critical stakeholders in the discharge of their assigned duty.

In his speech, the Director General Campaign Council, Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, said the party would embark on house to house campaign to mobilize electorates.

Dr. Inuwa expressed optimism that PDP would clinch 2023 Presidential and State election in view of its rising acceptance by Nigerians. The inauguration of the campaign council was attended by all stakeholders including candidates of the party.
