Traditional institutions has been described as custodians of people culture,norms and values in the society.
The Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari stated this while presenting clothing materials to the village heads and Chief Imams of Friday Juma’at Masjid in Makoda and Dambatta Local Government Areas, stressing that traditional title holders have a great role to play towards societal development.
The Speaker who was represented by the Director Personnel Management of Tarauni Local Government Hon. Ahmad Muhammad Tomas said the gesture is part of the Chidari’s social responsibility in this holy month of Ramadan, pointing out that the Speaker is ever ready to bring succor to the lives of the people of his constituency and beyond.
In his speech the representative of the District Head of Dambatta Alhaji Wada Shehu said the gesture has came at a right time and expressed gratitude to the speaker for his kind gesture.

On his part, District Head of Makoda Barayan Bichi, Alhaji Labaran Abdullahi said this is not the first time that speaker intervention comes to the palace, noting that this has became part of his culture to assist people always, according to a press release issued by Uba Abdullahi, the spokesman of the Assembly and made available to The Triumph, recently.
