Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has flagged-off campaign for the gubernatorial, deputy gubernatorial, state and National Assembly contestants in Gaya Emirate, Gaya town of Kano South Senatorial District on Wednesday.

After listing many reasons why gubernatorial candidates and deputy gubernatorial candidates are the most qualified candidates for the exalted positions in the state, he further challenged all other opposition parties to present similar contestants in the race.

Ganduje said: “All our contestants are Campaign Flag-off : Produce better candidates than APC, Ganduje challenges parties in the best position to govern the state. We are therefore challenging all other political parties to present to our state similar candidates, if they can.”

For the creation of Gaya Emirate, the governor said: “I would like to remind you two things.

First, is the creation of Gaya Emirate, and the Emirate, Insha Allah, comes to stay as other parties do claim that, when they come to power, they would demolish the history of the Emirate. Those people are not to be voted.

“The second issue, I would like to inform you that, Nigeria of today is in dear need of good leadership in order to take Nigeria to the next higher level.

“Today, we are blessed with the best presidential candidate in Nigeria; the most educated, experienced, just, trusted and tested, that is Ahmad Bola Tinubu.”

He also assured Nigerians that, if Tinubu is elected, he would manage the issue of securities, economic, diversity and encourage national integration in the country.

Coming back home, the governor said: “Kano is the most populous state in Nigeria and commercial hub center. So if we are looking for continuity, there is no other person than the gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna. “Our gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has political history similar to mine.

“He was local government chairman of the most populous local government in Nigeria, Nassarawa Local Government Council and he was Commissioner of Agriculture, among other things.

“His running mate, Murtala Sule Garo was a local government chairman. “He was the state chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and he was Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs,” the governor indicated.

Ganduje explained to hundreds of thousands of party supporters who attended the gathering, why all other contestants of the state and National Assemblies are the most qualified candidates.
