From Joseph Asegba, Yola
A head of 2023 general election, the immediate former governor of Adamawa State, Sen. Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, has sued for unity and understanding among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bindow, who made the call during his visit to the party’s secretariat in Yola, said power is from God and he gives it to who he deemed it fit, noting that such belief should be in the minds of those seeking elective offices in the party, hence the need for all and sundry to come and work towards its success.
The former governor however said his absence in the state, after his tenure, was for peace, security and development of the state.
He called on the party supporters to ensure that they get registered along with their families during the upcoming membership registration and avoid double registration.
In his remarks, Ibrahim Bilal, the state chairman of the party, thanked Bindow for the visit to the secretariat.
He also commended Bindow and other political office holders for the empowerment programmes which touched the lives of lots of people in the state.
He assured that the party would always ensure justice and fairness in its dealings with members.
Bindow noted that lots of personalities have decamped to the party and many others are ready to join them because of the dismal performance of the incumbent PDP-led administration in the state.
