BIKOBA assists deceased members’ families

Chairman of Birnin Kudu Old Boys Association, 1966 Chapter,  Alhaji Jaafar Usman Muhammad, has stressed the need for members of the chapter to contribute more towards the welfare of families of their deceased classmates.

Speaking at the opening of 2020 annual general meeting of the executive members held at the National Secretariat of the Association behind Shoprite mall, Alhaji Ja’afaru expressed confidence that in 2021 more families of the deceased may be given better attention and greater contribution.

He explained that despite COVID – 19 in 2020, the chapter has provided food items such as rice, maize, millet, spaghetti and cash amounting to thousands of Naira to about ten members of the deceased families.

Alhaji Ja’afaru who is the Turakin Gaya and District Head of Dawakin Kudu, commended the effort of Emir of Gaya, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar for appointing four members of the chapter to exalted positions under the emirate.

Those appointed, he stated, include Alhaji Usman Alhaji, Kano State SSG as Waziri; AIG Bashir Abdullahi Albasu (rtd.) Makama and District of Albasu; Alhaji Ja’afaru Usman Muhammad, Turaki, District Head of Dawakin Kudu and Alhaji Umaru Faruk Abdullahi, Fagacin Gaya and District Head of Warawa, as disclosed by Sule Musa Dutse, Secretary of BIKOBA Class 66.
