Zamfara State Government has suspended the Emir of ‘Yandoto in Tsafe Local Government, Alhaji Aliyu Marafa for conferring chieftaincy title on notorious bandit, Adamu Alieru.

Alieru was conferred with the title of Sarkin Fulani on Saturday, reportedly considering his present status as a ‘peace-maker’ within the Emirate.
Reports also quoted an anonymous source from the palace who revealed that the state government was aware of the conferment.
But in its reaction in a statement on Sunday, the statement, through the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, announced the suspension of the Emir.
