70 investors to invest in Jigawa

No fewer than 70 domestic and foreign investors have indicated their interest to invest in Jigawa State with a view to tapping the abundant potentials cutting across the state.

This was disclosed by the Director General of Jigawa State Investment, Hajiya Furera Jumare while responding to questions from newsmen over recently in Dutse, the state capital.

She said that already 16 investors were on ground in the state and had already established their investments and started yielding positive results.

Hajiya Jumare said that it was their mandate to lure investors from within and outside the country to come forward and invest so that they would reap the available potentials in the state.

According to her, companies like Olam and other mining and manufacturing ones had started working seriously in the state.

She stated further that the state government has offered free land and tax holidays for any investor willing to invest in the state, a gesture which she said could be described as emanating from the provision of conducive environment and ease of doing business in the state.

The Director General explained that there is existing Maigatari Export Free Zone, while the the present administration of Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar established another one at Gagarawa, all in an effort to buttress its willingness to make the state a free and conducive business environment.

She noted that with these mighty efforts, it was clearly indicated that Governor Badaru was internationallay recognized as a business tycoon.
