Governor, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has hails, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as well as the security agencies, for the smooth, peaceful conduct of the presidential and national assembly election.
He gave the commendation shortly after casting his vote, alongside his family, at his polling unit, in Gudi Station, Akwanga Local Government Area, on Saturday.
Governor Sule, expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation by both INEC and security agencies, leading to the smooth and peaceful conduct of the exercise.
“We thank the Almighty Allah, for giving us the opportunity to see a day like this. There has been a lot of aspirations, a lot of expectations. At the end of the day we are here, 25th of February, the day we are electing a president, Senator and House of Representatives.
“From what you have seen from my polling unit in Gudi Station, Akwanga Local Government Area, everything is going on smoothly. It took me but a few minutes for my family and I to vote,” he stated.
He equally appreciated the people of Gudi Station, his country home, as well as the entire people of the state, for turning up to perform their civic responsibility.
“I also use the opportunity to thank the good people of Gudi, people of Nasarawa State for the conduct of the election. I also want to thank INEC and all the security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
“From all indications, everything is going on smoothly, peacefully and people understand each other and they understand where to go,” the Governor added.
