Dawakin kudu Local Government Council has distributed some money to 100 women in the area in order to be self reliance.
The chairman of council, Alhaji Nasiru Ibrahim Matage stated this at the presentation of N10,000 empowerment to each beneficiaries at the secretariat, recently.
Alhaji Matage called on them to make best use of the money for their own progress.
He used the opportunity to call on them to register APC to enable them benefit from more dividends of democracy
The chairman said the empowerment program was inline with state government under the able leadership of Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to improve their status.
On her part, the wife of the state governor Prof. Hafsat Umar Ganduje represented by Hajiya Amina Haruna Shanono said only those who register in the ongoing APC membership cards will benefit from empowerment programmes introduced by the state and the council.
In their remarks, one of the beneficiaries thanked the governor and the chairman for gesture, as revealed by Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, the Information Officer
of the council and made available to The Triumph, today.
